CHOSEN BY GOD:

According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: {Ephesians 1:4}

NOT FROM ANY GOOD IN US:

(1) The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. {2} The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. {3} They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

{Psalm 14:1-3}

(2) All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. {Isaiah 53:6}

(3) But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. {Isaiah 64:6}

(4) As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: {11} There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. {12} They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. {Romans 3:10-12}

BY HIS GRACE TO CHOOSE:

(1) Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, {6} To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. {Ephesians 1:5-6}

(2) For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: {9} Not of works, lest any man should boast. {Ephesians 2:8-9}

HE DID NOT LOOK DOWN THE AGES TO SEE WHO WOULD UNDERSTAND OR RESPONSE TO HIS GRACE SINCE WE ARE ALL EQUALLY SINNERS:

(1) According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: {Ephesians 1:4}

(2) In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; {Ephesians 1:7}

(3) What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin; {Romans 3:9}

(4) For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. {James 2:10)

IT IS NOT OUR WORKS BUT OF HIS WILL:

(1) According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: {5} Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, {Ephesians 1:4-5}

(2) For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: {9} Not of works, lest any man should boast. {Ephesians 2:8-9}

(3) Entire Romans 9 chapter

MAN DESERVES DEATH AND HELL WITH SEPARATION FROM GOD FOR HIS SINS. GOD'S LOVE AND GRACE HAS SAVED SOME. THE SAVED WILL REPENT (CHANGE FROM SINS), CALL UPON THE LORD:

(1) In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. {Ephesians 1:11-12}

(2) But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, {5} Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) {6}
And
hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: {7} That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. {Ephesians 2:4-7}

THEY WILL ASK JESUS INTO THEIR LIVES AND BELIEVE:

(1) In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory. {Ephesians 1:13-14}

(2) And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed. {Acts 13:48}

Ephesians (KJV) has over a hundred references to the Godhead such as God (33), In Christ (10), Christ (45), Spirit (15), Lord (25), Him (20) scriptures. Ephesians also has two/three Triunity Godhead scriptures:

Ephesians 1:17 "That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:"

Ephesians 2:18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father."

Godhead in: (Ephesians 1:17 – The Father of glory as God.); The Christian believes that Jesus is God (Colossians 2:9 - For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.); and the Holy Spirit is God (Ephesians 4:30 - grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.)

Also, Ephesians 4:4-6 shows the Triunity Godhead scripture.

GIFT OF CHRIST FOR HIS BODY {EPHESIANS 4:7-10}:

WAY: Unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ

Ephesians 4:7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

WHO: Christ WHOM: Every one of us

GRACE:

James 4:6 "But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble."

2 Peter 1:2 "Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,"

Ephesians 4:8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

He ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men:

Psalm 68:18 Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the LORD God might dwell among them.

Ephesians 4:9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?

Ephesians 4:10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.) Goal of supplying all things or more

He descended first into the lower parts of the earth:

Apostles Creed: He descended into hell. The

heaven

1 Peter 3:18-20 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: {19} By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison; {20} Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

PURPOSE OF GIFTS {EPHESIANS 4:11-16}:

WAY: He gave apostles; prophets; evangelists; pastors and teachers FIVE FOLD MINISTRIES

APOSTLES:

Ephesians 2:20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

1 Corinthians 12:28-29 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. {29} Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?

PROPHETS:

Romans 12:6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;

WHAT: Ephesians 4:12-13 Seven Fold Purpose of Gifts

Ephesians 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith (4), and of the knowledge of the Son of God (5), unto a perfect man (6), unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: (7)

WHY: Be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine

Ephesians 4:14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; (Doctrine = Teaching)

DOCTRINE/PERFECTION:

Hebrews 6:1-3 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, {2} Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. {3} And this will we do, if God permit.

WHEREAS: Speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, the head, Christ

Ephesians 4:15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

LOVE: 1 Corinthians 13:1-13 Bible Love chapter

1 Corinthians 13:13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity. Charity = love in action.

Ephesians 4:16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

MISC: OTHER SUBMISSION & BALANCE IN LOVE {EPHESIANS 5:21-33}

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

WIVES SUBMISSION TO HUSBAND: The wife, in a relationship between two Christians who love each other, should have no submission problem.

Genesis 3:16 "Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire <shall be> to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee." From the garden of Eden, authority established.

1 Corinthians 11:3, 7-9, 11-12 "But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman <is> the man; and the head of Christ <is> God. {7} For a man indeed ought not to cover <his> head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man. {8} For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man. {9} Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man. {11} Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord. {12} For as the woman <is> of the man, even so <is> the man also by the woman; but all things of God." God set up authority line for Christian home.

1 Corinthians 14:34-35 "Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but <they are commanded> to be under obedience, as also saith the law. {35} And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church." Spiritual rule

Ephesians 5:22-24, 33 "Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. {23} For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. {24} Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so <let> the wives <be> to their own husbands in every thing. {33} Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife <see> that she reverence <her> husband." As Christ rules the Church, husband rules his wife.

Colossians 3:18 "Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord." God's set up this authority.

1 Timothy 2:11-15 "Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. {12} But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. {13} For Adam was first formed, then Eve. {14} And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. {15} Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety."God set up spiritual authority.

Titus 2:4-5 "That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, {5} <To be> discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed." Woman can teach other woman.

1 Peter 3:1-6 "Likewise, ye wives, <be> in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives; {2} While they behold your chaste conversation <coupled> with fear. {3} Whose adorning let it not be that outward <adorning> of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; {4} But <let it be> the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, <even the ornament> of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. {5} For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands: {6} Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement." Wives weapon.

HUSBANDS RESPONSE TO HIS WIFE: God's plan requires man to love his wife in same way as Jesus loved the Church. Man is to be a Priest in his home. When man does he part (love her as himself), his wife will do her part.

Ephesians 5:25 "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;" As Christ gave, so man.

Ephesians 5:28-29, 33 "So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. {29} For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: {33} Nevertheless letevery one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife <see> that she reverence <her> husband." Man's love to himself as to wife.

Colossians 3:19 "Husbands, love <your> wives, and be not bitter against them."Be gentle to wife and Biblical solve problem in love.

1 Peter 3:7 "Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with <them> according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered." Treasure wife with high value with honor.
