INDUCTIVE COMMENTS:
THEME: The Holy Spirit Baptism is God's power to minister to others in a super-natural way.

PURPOSE:
This is God's teachers on the purpose of the Holy Spirit Baptism for the church (the body of Christ on Earth) and its ministries. Included is a gift of tongues (not the same tongues we get at Baptism of Holy Spirit, but as ministry to body at church.)

WHAT: The scriptures show that there are difference times in which we receive the Holy Spirit: First when we are born again for eternal life. A second experience is subsequent to salvation, when we are baptized in the Holy Spirit. These are two of the times. The Holy Spirit will move our vocal chords and put supernatural words on our lips. The Holy Spirit gives the utterance, but man does the speaking.

Some people are concern that it will be their flesh. It is in the flesh that we worship and praise God in the Spirit. We are to open our months and move our lips and speak any sound it seems easy to speak, whatever it is. Have faith that God will use our members to utter his words.

John 14:16 Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a gift from Jesus & the Father to us.
1 Corinthians 1:7 Gifts are received without any work from our side. God is waiting for people to receive his gifts. If I offered you a gift, what would you have to do to get it? Just receive it.

XVI) THE SUBJECT OF TONGUES:
Acts 2:8,11 Tongues are part of the Holy Spirit baptism at Pentecost for preaching to foreigners.
Acts 2:16-17 This fulfilled Joel's prophesy.
Genesis 11:1,4-9 God started many languages to restrain people from "doing any kind of evil". God restores foreign languages, to his people, to proclaim his word and do many kinds of good.
XVII) TONGUES FOR SELF EDIFICATION:
God gives Christian's gifts to minister to his body of Christ. He also give gifts to minister to the Christian for his own edification, giving thanks, joyful heart, and prayer.
