There are 11 references to
Melchisedec in the Bible. 2 are in the Old Testament (spelled
Melchizedek) and 9 in the New Testament in the book of Hebrews. 6 of
the 9 are in 7th chapter of Hebrews. The book of Hebrews shows the
superiority of the priesthood of Melchizedek over the Leviticus
priesthood and the resultant higher authority of the priesthood of
the Lord Jesus Christ. All scriptures are from the King James’
version Bible.
